Apply to Receive Funding for Clean Trucks and Advanced Transportation Technology
The NYC Clean Trucks Program accepts applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Businesses that move goods and commercial truck owners are invited to apply for Rebate Incentive funding.
Applicants must have one older diesel truck, Model Year 2015 or older, to scrap for each Replacement Truck. The exception to this is Small Fleets (100 or fewer trucks) who apply to purchase a battery-electric vehicle (BEV).
Required Application Documents
Applicants required to scrap an older diesel truck must put together a document package for each Qualifying Truck being replaced. If you do not have an electronic copy of each document, you may photocopy, scan, or take a high-resolution photo of each document for submission. When possible, please clearly label all documents to expediate review (i.e., “Truck A_Truck registration.jpg and Truck A_Truck title.jpg”).
Truck owners must certify that the Qualifying Truck to be replaced is functional and was not intended to be taken out of service. Vehicle replacements that would have occurred through normal fleet turnover are not eligible for funding. Any vehicle to be replaced must have been operated for at least 5,000 miles annually for the previous 24 consecutive months.
